An entrepreneur of 20+ years, Polman has always looked to improve
her own knowledge while building her various enterprises. A
constant in her life has always been instruction, support and
coaching, from teaching wilderness survival to kids, to
designing and teaching computer software courses for adults.
Online, Polman has been a group moderator on iVillage for women in
business, forum moderator and administrator for general business
topics, business coach and cheerleader for women in business
reaching their targets & celebrating their successes.
Past businesses have included software instruction, programming,
conference & meeting planning, IT sales, cosmetics manufacturing,
personal care products manufacturing & online retailing, business
coach and joint venture partner.
With The Learning Center for Entrepreneurs, Polman brings her
passion of learning and support together for the first time.
By encouraging continuous learning, sharing and mentoring
others, 'Mrs Paula' strongly feels that she is finally fulfilling
her potential and achieving her personal goals.
Her strongest words of advice to any entrepreneur, no matter where
they are in their business growth curve, is: be authentic to your
passions. In being authentic to your passions, you are true to
who are and what you can do for others. It pushes into every corner
of your business & is reflected back at you through your customers
and successes and yes, your failures. You cannot be completely
successful until you find that passion and let it out. But when
you do - wow that is when everything seems to come together like
magic.
In her personal life, Polman is a wife & mother of two, a talented boy of 8
and an enchanting baby girl. The family currently calls Edmonton, Alberta,
Canada home along with pet fish Ozzie the oscar & Jasmine the plecostomas.
She enjoys volunteering at the elementary school and for the sports groups
her son is involved in. Other free time is non-existant, dominated by
Baby Girl's demands for attention and joyfully given.

pps - Indeed, that's not a proper picture of Mrs Paula; she is working
on getting something a bit more professional done. However, it's not
entirely inappropriate as she is known as "the science mom" at
her boy's school and has been known to dress & party like a mad
scientist.
